According to official sources, Nayeem Khan and his colleagues including General Secretary Advocate Hilal and Syed Ziaddin were taken into preventive custody by IOK police, which also resorted to cane-charge to prevent them from going to AJK sans permission on Tuesday morning, said a news report received here.
Police also raided National Front in occupied Srinagar and Khan's residence on the outskirts of IOK capital several times last night, but he evaded arrest apparently to go ahead with his plan of crossing over to AJK through Uri sector.
It was announced here to open border points along LoC and set up relief camps there to help quake-stricken families from either side in Kashmir avail medical treatment and relief, added the report.
Meanwhile Indian Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee announced in New Delhi that its camps at Aman Setu in Uri, Teetwal in Tangdhar and Chakan Da Bagh had become operational from Tuesday, the report maintained.
